Businesses on Khao San Road push for Songkran guidelines to be eased

Business owners on Bangkok’s Khao San Road are pushing for government officials to allow the gritty nightlife district to host actions for Songkran, the Thai New Year which is extensively known with massive water fights.
Khao San Road has been often identified as a high vacation spot for backpackers on a budget with cheap beer, buckets of alcohol, laughing fuel balloons, and scorpion-on-a-stick.
